The GPCHA Parks and Recreation Committee acts as the designated stewards of our community parkland. Our duty is to preserve, protect, improve, and wisely manage the natural and built resources and engage with our neighbours in various projects to sustain our valued parkland in its varied and diverse ecologies.
The Social Committee is responsible for organizing the Grenville Park annual social events. Usually these will include events such as our Annual General Meeting hosted in a member’s home; a Spring cleanup of the parkland; with lunch served at a member’s home; a summertime picnic/barbecue by the playground; and then to round out the year a neighbourhood Christmas party also hosted at a member’s home.
Be sure to stay tuned so that you can join your neighbours at our future gatherings!
The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining an online community for our neighbourhood. Our website was built as a way of preserving park history and keeping Grenville Park members informed and connected. Our website remains a consistent repository for Board minutes, history, by-laws, FAQs, neighbourhood pictures though the years, and a blog. Contributors to the blog are welcome, it has not reached its potential!
To submit info for the site, please visit the contact page.
The Facebook page provides an interactive platform for our neighbours to send information, notices, announcements and even updates of the exploits of healthy and active wildlife (deer and red fox) in the park. It has proven helpful also for individual announcements, stray animals/pets and upcoming community events like the BBQ, Christmas party or Park cleanup. To check it out, please visit  facebook.com/groups/grenvilleparkÂ
We also have a group email address for more direct communication.
